Indigo Rei Art is a creative space owned &/developed by - the beautiful Miss Rei Edwards (also known as Rei of Sunshine). Rei is a long time and cherished friend of Quirky Cork Creation's owner - Quirky Corky - & someone who is valued greatly by everyone she spends time and energy with. Rei is currently maintaining two working day jobs, as well as working almost nightly in creating/& maintaining her online store (through Etsy). While also developing a beautiful friendship and relationship with her fiancé, & cat.
She is an artist on all levels and someone that is a true inspiration.
Her current mediums of choice are: Macrame Jewelry, painting w/ acrylics & a blowtorch, watercolor painting with inking, creating Epoxy Molds & generally, just simply put - she rocks the casbahs with what she can do. With very little that she cannot do - she is constantly selflessly giving back to others which makes waves within the lives & community of everyone that she touches. Rei also maintains a level of realism - (a lost art in today's "walking on eggshells" mentality) Rei always is that friend who can say exactly what you need to hear & not just what you want to hear.
Rei of Sunshine's company is currently based in Long Beach in Southern Los Angeles. She often travels around to distribute her healing energy through her crafts & crystals while also distributing at several of her own events all throughout Southern California for past few years.
I feel extremely honored to be given the opportunity to sell the last of Second Sun Collection's current product line - (created in 2017). Since her reimaging of her company last year in 2018 from Second Sun Collections to Indigo Rei Art, she is now able to refocus the direction of her art through macrame and making room for her new product line. This is an extremely unique opportunity allowing Quirky Cork Creations to sell the last of her Unique one of Kind created products.
What does this mean?
This basically means - that every piece you see here is the last of its kind, without a duplicate & will not be recreated by her hands.
What are they made of?
All pieces are made with hemp twine & from beautiful semi precious minerals; Rei - has a hawk eye - & not only does she know how to spot a the real polished mineral beads vs replicated plastic versions; but she can also name the exact mineral just by looking at it within seconds. Extremely smart & talented - so much of her own meraki is focused into every weave. We now have the opportunity to wear her intentional powerful energy & benefit from not only the energy that is put into is creation - but every stone's unique frequency. This helps with certain parts of our body, mind, &/or spirit or (also know as a chakra point) - which may be feeling imbalanced.
How to choose the right one.
- Don't be shy - pick it up and feel it with the heart; if it is asking to go home with you - that's the one that will bring the most healing. You may feel drawn towards a certain color or stone quality - which is all perfectly balanced within what you may need in your own life.
- There is no wrong decision - any one you pick - will be the right one for you, if it isn't what you hoped for / take it for a little spin! Try it on - meditate with it in the mirror and depending on the stone and chakra point - close your eyes and feel for it in the body. Your body, mind & spirit will guide you to what is best for your life.
- Size: make sure it fits! Size is important! - and Rei has created each piece to be extendable or retractable depending on wrist size &/or how tightly/or loosely the wearer likes to wear the item.
Care Instructions:
- Easy to care for & keep strong - just don't where it in the shower or bath. Rei uses hemp to Macrame with which can lessen its strength & properties when wet. Store in a dry space whenever it is not in use.
- Whenever it is not being worn - it is recommended that it be placed within a selenite grid or next to a Himalayan/or Selenite Salt Lamp. This will allow any properties collected over the course of the day to be cleansed off of it while you sleep. If you do not have a salt lamp; holy smoke (sage, Palo santo, etc.) can also be used for cleansing the items as well.
